Liquid glue (or hot melt) technology is an alternative to conventional sewing with needle and thread. Liquid glue guarantees strength and durability when used on technical textiles like acrylics and polyesters, typically used to produce awnings.

Besides a significant aesthetical improvement compared to sewing, liquid glue bonding makes waterproof seams because it does not puncture the fabric. Liquid glue welding technology delivers excellent results in combination with the patented Intelligent Torque technology.

Our Machines - Technical Details

SolarEdge welding machines with liquid glue technology use two types of glue to bond fabrics:

• Polyamide glue
• Polyurethane glue

The type of glue is determined by the fabrics that are processed:

• Polyamide glue is used for traditional, non-coated fabrics.
• Polyurethane glue is used in Teflon-coated, self-cleaning textiles that are otherwise very hard to bond.

Our gluing machines feature the patented Intelligent Torque technology, that digitally controls the fabric tension during the entire welding cycle, and avoids puckering of the seams. Seams created with Intelligent Torque are of a very high quality, both in terms of strength and aesthetics.
